Lux Row Distillers is owned by Luxco, Inc, a long-time producer of various alcoholic beverages. The company was started by David Sherman, Jr and Paul A. Lux in 1958 in St. Louis. It was originally called the David Sherman Company, but the name was changed to Luxco in 2006.
The distillery is located in the heart of bourbon country in Bardstown, Kentucky. The distillery in 2015, which features 6 barrel warehouses for aging and storage. A wide range of bourbons is produced at this location, from high-end, handcrafted, small-batch bourbons to traditional straight Kentucky bourbon whiskey.

This is handcrafted, small-batch, limited edition bourbon created single-handedly by Lux Row’s Master Distiller. These limited edition bourbons are one-of-a-kind blends of the highest quality bourbon the distillery produces to create rich, complex, and incredibly unique bourbons perfect for the discerning drinker.
This is another high-end bourbon whiskey that features one ryed and one wheated variety. The bourbon is based on David Nicholson’s famous “43” bourbon recipe that he created at his grocery store in St. Louis, Missouri. The recipe was so well-loved that it was passed through the ages until it became a well-known and loved brand.
Daviess County Distilling Company was one of the earliest bourbon distilleries in Kentucky, which opened in 1874. With a nod to the past, this bourbon uses both wheated and ryed mashbills to create a unique, authentic, and traditional straight bourbon whiskey with bold, spicy notes and a smooth finish.
Ezra Brooks is a line of smooth, mellow, sour mash-based whiskeys and bourbons with a complex, rich, and unique flavor. Their handcrafted offerings range from sour mash bourbon whiskey, long-aged bourbon whiskey, straight rye whiskey, blended whiskey, and even bourbon cream liqueur.
Rebel Bourbon is a time-honored and award-winning bourbon that has been enjoyed since 1849. The company makes a line of wheated and ryed bourbons, some of which feature incredibly unique offerings like root beer whiskey and ginger whiskey. There is long-aged single barrel bourbon whiskey, straight rye whiskey, and wheated bourbon whiskeys as high as 100 proof for those a little more traditional.
Lux Row Distillery offers two unique tours, the standard tour and the premium tour.
Tours are given Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. but are only available by reservation. The cost is $13, and only adults 21+ can attend. Attendance is free for active and retired military personnel.
The standard tour allows guests to take a detailed tour around the facilities to see the many different brands produced and learn the intricacies of bourbon-making. The tour is a 45-minute walking tour, followed by an educational bourbon tasting experience that lasts for about 15-minutes and gives guests a brief understanding of the bourbon tasting and drinking experience.
Like the standard tour, the premium tour is only open to adults 21+. It is $35 per adult, and active and retired military personnel can enjoy the premium tour for only $20. Premium tours are given Tuesday-Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and like the standard tour, are done by reservation only. The premium tour is limited to parties of 6 or fewer.
The premium tour provides a detailed tour of the facilities, including a unique production tour to see how the spirits are actually made. After the tour, a premium tasting educational event allows guests to try six different high-end bourbons. All guests get a glass as a gift.
